Maria
2 GUESTS · 1 BED · 1 BATH
Maria brought a spark of energy and kindness that pushed us to build this cabin in the middle of this hidden paradise. To honour her , we gave the cabin her name.
Perched at the edge of a wild island in the Tejo River, this cabin feels like a world of its own. Through the wide windows, the river opens up in front of you, framed by tall trees and untouched nature. Around you, cows and wild horses roam freely. There are 150 hectares of land to wander through, with no rush and no noise.
It’s a quiet, rare spot, perfect for switching off and simply being.

Heads up!
To get to the island, you’ll need to cross a concrete road — but here’s the twist: when the tide comes in ( high tide ), the road goes under water. So your arrival and departure need to follow the rhythm of the tide. It’s all part of the adventure, and we’ll help you plan the timing.
Driving over the road when it’s submerged isn’t an option. But if you’re feeling adventurous, you can park before the water and cross on foot.
Depending on the season, you might catch a glimpse of local farm life near the cabin, like harvesting and other countryside activities.
NOTES: The property is shared with Aurora cabin, however positioned in a way that maintains privacy. Reserve the cabins to enjoy the experience alongside friends.

About the boat/river
-
We’ve partnered with a local boat company, Feel the River, to handle your transport to the island. Instead of driving across, you’ll head to a nearby spot on the other side of the river, and they’ll take you by boat. With this option, you're free from the tide schedule, come and go whenever it suits you.
