Aurora

2 GUESTS · 1 BED · 1 BATH

Aurora is something else. At times, it even feels like you’re floating, as if the cabin were drifting on the river itself. The setting is far from ordinary. Waking up here isn’t the kind of thing most people get to feel often. It takes your breath away.

Tucked on a wild island in the heart of the Tejo River, Aurora sits in complete stillness. From its wide windows, the river stretches endlessly ahead. Outside, cows and wild horses roam freely. And with 150 hectares of open land around you, there’s plenty to explore, or just sit back and let the quiet sink in.

Pictures speak for themselves, but this is something you really need to try.

It’s the kind of place that slows you down without trying.

Heads up!

To get to the island, you’ll need to cross a concrete road, but here’s the twist: when the tide comes in ( high tide ), the road goes under water. So your arrival and departure need to follow the rhythm of the tide. It’s all part of the adventure, and we’ll help you plan the timing.

Driving over the road when it’s submerged isn’t an option. But if you’re feeling adventurous, you can park before the water and cross on foot.

Depending on the season, you might catch a glimpse of local farm life near the cabin, like harvesting and other countryside activities.

NOTES: The property is shared with Maria cabin, however positioned in a way that maintains privacy.  Reserve the cabins to enjoy the experience alongside friends.
